Solution Focused Meetings (SFM) provide an opportunity to partner with families engaged in the child welfare system. This training is designed for staff engaging in facilitati on of Solution Focused Meetings. Participants will gain an understanding of integrating family meetings into the practice of Solution Based Casework. The training will provide guidance on the utilization of SFMs within the Mi lestones of Solution Focused Casework and engagement and preparation with f amilies.
Objectives:

ding of Solution Focused Meetings within the Milestones of Solution Based C
asework.
• Participants will incr
ease knowledge of engagement and preparation for Solution Focused Meetings.
• Participants will increase the
ir knowledge and experience with facilitating Solution Focused Meetings.
Registration will begin at 8:30AM. Training will begin promptly at
9:00 AM. This training is scheduled until 4:00pm. Lunch is on your own.

Please note: Priority seating is pr ovided to staff working within one of the current DHS child welfare service contracts, including: Family Centered Services (FCS); Qualified Residentia l Treatment Program (QRTP) / Group Foster Care; Child Welfare Emergency Ser vices (CWES): Aftercare Services; Supervised Apartment Living (SAL); Recrui tment, Retention, Training and Support Services (RRTS); Parent Partners; Fo ster Care Youth Council. If you do not work within one of the current DHS c hild welfare services contracts, you may be bumped from the course and plac ed on a wait list.
