In this training you can learn how traumatic events can affect children differently in both physical and psychological ways. WC003     The Cost of Caring: Secondary Traumatic Stress and the Impact of Working with High-Risk Children and Families

WC004     Bonding and Attachment in Maltreated Children
This training explores the ways in which childhood abuse and neglect impacts the ability to form healthy relationships.  It also offers ways that caregivers and those who work with children with attachment issues can help these children to be able to form positive relationships.  The training includes four brief lessons with assignments and a quiz. WC007     Child Development 101: Allison DeFelice, PhD
This workshop reviews child development from 18 months to 18 years, providing benchmarks for normal physical, cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional and sexual functioning at every stage.  This information is discussed in terms of its impact on child abuse investigations and interview techniques. WC008     Collaboration, Consistency & Cultural Competency – Carroll Ann Ellis
This workshop is organized into three thematic topics: Collaboration, Consistency, and Cultural Competency.  All of these build on effective ways for assisting child victims and families, starting with law enforcement, the gateway to the criminal justice system.  Important perspectives related to the natures of crimes against children and meaningful/appropriate responses will be discussed to include strategies for effectively and ethically providing help.  VIDEO: 90 Minutes  Certificate Available
WC014     Child Abuse Investigations in Meth Lab Cases – Tim Ahumada
