Motivational Interviewing is a person-centered counseling technique utilized to elicit behavior change. This practice session will focus on developing a collaboration relationship with individuals to explore and resolve ambivalence to support change aligning with one’s own personal values and concerns. The session will build upon a prerequisite eLearning course to deeper explore and demonstrate the principles of Motivational Interviewing. To access the eLearning Courses, you can log into your Relias account (if you have one) or you can find a free course through the Florida Certification Board. Links for these courses will be available once you've signed up for this in-person training.
